Vompersky Stanislav Eduardovich graduated from the Leningrad State Forest Technical Academy (LTA) in 1952. He graduated from the LTA post-graduate courses in 1956. He is a Doctor of Biological Sciences since 1969. Vompersky Stanislav Eduardovich is a Corresponding Member of the USSR Academy of Sciences - Department of General Biology (Forest Science) since December 15, 1990. The main areas of his scientific activity are forest ecology, structural and functional organization and productivity of forest biogeocenoses. He was awarded the Gold Medal named after G.F. Morozov "For outstanding work in the field of silvics, forestry, and agroforestry" (1997). He was awarded the Medal by the Forest Development Association of Finland (1991). He is a prizewinner of the Russian Academy of Sciences named after V.N. Sukachev (2007) for a series of works "Productivity, structural, functional organization and biospheric role of wetland ecosystems and drained forests". He is awarded the "Honored Forest Worker» badge in 2005. He has the following State awards: the Order of the Honor Badge (1971), the Order of Friendship (1998). |

He is a graduate of the Leningrad State Forest Technical Academy in 1954, a Soviet and Russian scientist in the field of forest biogeocenology. His main works are devoted to forest ecology, rational forest management, forest protection from pests and diseases. He published more than 300 scientific papers (including 10 monographs) in various forest science aspects. A.S. Isayev is one of the organizers and leading implementer of the forest aerospace monitoring program in Russia. He was awarded the Medal of Honor, the Order of the October Revolution, two Orders of the Red Banner of Labor. He is an Honorary Doctor of Moscow State Forest University (1998). In 1979-1988 he was a Chairman of the Presidium of the Krasnoyarsk Branch of the Siberian Department of the USSR Academy of Sciences. He was a Chairman of the USSR Forest State Committee in 1988-1991. Since October 1991, he is a pensioner Union values. At the same time, he is the President and a co-chairman of the International Forest Institute. In 1992-1993, he was a Chairman of the Supreme Ecological Council of the Supreme Soviet of Russia. |

He graduated with honors from the Leningrad State Forest Technical Academy in 1954. All in all, N.A. Moiseev published more than 560 scientific papers (including 40 books, monographs, brochures and textbooks). Nikolai Alexandrovich is the author and developer of the forest resources reproduction theory on the basis of sustainable multi-purpose forest management. For his merits and scientific achievements Moiseyev was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor (1979). He was awarded the titles: "Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation" (1999), "Honored Forestry Specialist of the RSFSR" (1979), "Honored Forestry Specialist of the Russian Federation" (2014). He was acknowledged the gratitude of the President of the Russian Federation (2003). He was awarded with the Gold Medal named after G.F. Morozov (2003) and the G. Kotta Medal (1986) for his cycle of works "Forecasting Basics of Forest Resources Use and Reproduction in Russia" by the Presidium of the Russian Agricultural Academy. He was awarded with the Gold Medal of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation "For Contribution to Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex" and the highest award "For Outstanding Achievements" by the International Union of Forestry Research Organizations (IUFRO). He is an Honorary Doctor of St. Petersburg State Forest Technical Academy (2003) and the Northern (Arctic) Federal University. He is a foreign member of the Swedish Royal Academy of Sciences in Agriculture and Forestry, the Finnish Academy of Sciences and Writing, the Italian Forest Academy. He is an honorary member of the International Academy of Sciences of Higher School and the Honorary Doctor of the Technical University in Dresden. He is an Honorary Citizen of the Pushkin District (2000). |

Yury Vladimirovich Plugatar’ graduated from the Leningrad Forest Technical Academy named after S.M. Kirov in 1988. He is the Doctor of Agricultural Sciences (2011), Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (2016). He is a specialist in the field of ecology, dendrology, silvics and forestry. He substantiated scientifically the main directions of the Crimean agricultural complex development in the conditions of market production, published 200 scientific papers, 19 of them are monographs. He worked as a forester assistant, a forester of the Vishnevchikh Forestry of Khmelnytsky Region in 1988-1993, a forester (1993-2003) of the Alushta Forestry Department, leading researcher, and Director of the Crimean Mountain-forest Research Station (2003-2010). He was a Deputy Director (2010-2014) and since 2014 - Director of the State Budgetary Enterprise of the Crimean Republic "The Order of the Red Banner of Labor Nikitsky Botanical Garden - National Scientific Center" (since 2015 - the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Science "Order of the Red Banner of Labor Nikitsky Botanical Garden - National Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences"). He is an Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the Republic of the Crimea (2015) and the Prize Laureate of the Republic of the Crimea (2012). |

He graduated from the Leningrad Forest Technical Academy in 1951. Doctor of Agricultural Sciences (1972), Professor (1983), Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences (1993), Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (2014). He is a prominent scientist in forestry. He was a post-graduate student, junior researcher, Head of herbicide laboratory, Deputy Director for scientific work (1951-1998). Since 1999, he is a Chief researcher of the St. Petersburg Forestry Research Institute. He published more than 100 scientific papers, including 4 monographs. His main researches are devoted to the study of regularities in forming new forest generations on solid felling; management of forest cenoses composition with the help of chemicals; development of highly productive and environmentally friendly ways and technologies for forest management; increasing the taiga forest productivity and reducing the time of merchantable timber production; accelerating (plantation) forest growing. He took part in liquidating the consequences of the nuclear power plant accident in Chernobyl. He is the Honored Forester of the RSFSR (1991). He was awarded two Orders of the “Badge of Honor” (1966, 1977), a medal "Veteran of Labor", a badge "For saving and increasing the forest wealth of the RSFSR" (1987), a badge for participating in liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident (1990), the Certificate of Honor of the Federal Forest Service in Russia (1998). |
